LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Last year was a successful one for Louisville businesses.
According to the Louisville Downtown Partnership, 43 new businesses opened their doors in downtown Louisville, with 16 more set to do the same in 2025.
The LDP reported 73 projects are either underway or have been announced, bringing more than $2 billion into the region, and 3.7 million people ventured into downtown Louisville, totaling more than 33 million visits.
“Events like the Kentucky Derby, PGA, and the NCAA Volleyball tournament increase pedestrian activity and visitor spending, centralized in Downtown Louisville, because that’s where the majority of our visitors are staying,” Executive Director Rebecca Fleischaker said in a statement to WHAS11. “Local restaurants, bars, and hotels all benefit.”
Eight companies moved to the downtown area with two more expected in 2025 the LDP said.
And 73 projects, with a combined investment of $2 billion, are either happening now or have been announced they said.
