Alaska Air Group Inc. beat Wall Street’s estimates to close out 2024 and forecast a better-than-expected start to the new year, giving the carrier a boost as it plans a significant overseas expansion.
Adjusted fourth-quarter profit was 97 cents a share, the carrier said in a statement Wednesday, more than double the 47-cent average of analyst estimates compiled by Bloomberg. The carrier, which acquired Hawaiian Airlines in mid-September, cited strong revenue from sustained demand for leisure travel and an increase in corporate sales that has continued into early 2025.
